The depilatory wax effectively removes unwanted hair and leaves skin velvety for a long period of time (up to 4 weeks). The wax can be reused several times.
Directions for use:
How to heat the wax:
- Attention: overheated wax can cause serious burns. Constantly supervise the wax while heating.
- Heat in a container directly on the stove, in a wax heater or in a Bain Marie, taking care not to splash water on the wax, as it can no longer be used.
- Heat the wax and stir with a spatula until it melts, reaching a sticky, honey-like consistency. If overheated, the wax will stay quite liquid and must be left to cool.
- Do not heat the wax in the microwave.
How to apply the wax:
- Always test on the inner wrist to make sure the wax is not too hot.
- Take the wax with the spatula and spread it on the area to be depilated in the direction of hair growth, forming an even strip of wax and leaving a fold that makes pulling easier.
- The wax layer should be 10-15 cm long and 1-2 mm thick, so it can be pulled off well. The ends should always be thicker so the strip can be gripped.
- If overheated wax comes into contact with the skin, place the affected area under cold water for 10 minutes and seek medical advice, without trying to pull off the wax.
- On sensitive areas such as underarms, bikini area or face, do not depilate the same area twice in the same session, to avoid irritation.
- To get velvety skin on the upper lip, apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, then pull in the opposite direction.
How to remove the wax:
- Leave the wax strip for a few seconds, grip the skin with one hand and the edge of the wax strip with the other, and pull quickly and firmly against the direction of hair growth.
- To soothe the skin, press with your hand or apply a cold compress on the area immediately after pulling.
How to clean wax residue: never clean wax residue with water, soap or alcohol. Clean with already used wax residue, with your nails or with a cotton pad soaked in wax-cleaning lotion.
Precautions:
- Always follow the directions for use.
- If applied for the first time or on a new area of the body, test the product on a small area. If no adverse reaction occurs within 24 hours, continue with the application.
- Skin must be clean and dry, free of cosmetic products. Wax depilation is not recommended for elderly people, diabetics, people with circulation problems or people undergoing acne treatment.
- The wax can be used on legs, underarms, bikini area, arms and parts of the face such as the upper lip, but is not recommended for the head, nose, eyes, eyebrows, ears, nipples or around them, genitals or perianal area.
- Do not apply on wounds, varicose veins, pimples, cracks, irritation or burns, nor on skin that has previously shown an adverse reaction to depilatory wax.
- Before and after depilation, avoid sun exposure, bathing or using deodorants, perfumed or alcohol-based products for 24 hours.
- Do not ingest! If swallowed, see a doctor immediately and show the packaging. Keep out of the reach of children!
Tips:
- Wax depilation is the most effective way to remove unwanted hair and the results last longer.
- With regular waxing, hair grows back more sparsely and finer, because it is pulled out from the root.
- Beauticians recommend depilating after menstruation, when sensitivity is lower.
- Right after depilation, use Farmec After depilation gel with an ultra-soothing effect.
